  1. I can get race face 8 speed cranks cheaper, is this just thicker rings? What's the difference? Is it
    OK with a 9spd chain?

    I have not done so with RaceFace rings, but I've never had any problem using so-called 8 speed rings
    on 9 speed systems (mainly Shimano and Vuelta)
