  1. I seem to be having problems finding these sizes tires. The last two sets I
    got were from Performance, with the kevlar belts. Anyone? Thanks.

    Try searching for a source of Panaracer Pasela TourGuard 700x28. Good
    tires that run a bit narrow (the 700 x28 has a mounted width of
    25-26mm) and are value priced (probably available for well under $20;
    if anyone wants, say, $24.95, find a less greedy source).

    Any particular reason for wanting the nominal 26 mm width? 25 and 28
    seem to be more common sizes but there's some variation between makes
    anyway so differences of a mm or two aren't very significant.

    the only reason is that that's what I've used before. But since it
    apparently makes little difference, I'll get what's available. Thanks to
    you and OBS.
