Hey riders.

I just took my 06 Fuji road bike over the 6200 mile mark. I want to get some new parts and give the bike a good tune up. Lately, the chain has been slipping under heavy pedal pressure, is this a worn chain? otherwise things seems good. My tires are less than a year old and brake pads are pretty new too.

Can I get some advice on what should be replaced, changed, done to the bike now, before another big summer of riding?

Bike store guy told me that chains should be changed every 3-4k.
