One thing about using 451 tires is there isn't much anguish over which brand to use, with about 4 choices. I just had an IRC roadlight just blow out. There was no cut on the casing, and I couldn't find anything on the road I might have hit.
I put on a Primo Comet I had. The Primo was the stiffest tire I have ever handled. I cut my hand pretty bad on the bead. It popped off when I started inflating it. I had to carefully reseat it.
The Stelvio looks nice, and with a dual suspension shockproof, I can afford the high pressure tire ride. I really don't like blowing car tire money for bike tires though.
I'm about to buy a few more, and am looking for opinions.

Which size was the Primo Comet, 26-451 (20x1-1/8) or 32-451 (20x1-3/8)?
Green Gear [1] sells the Primo Comets for $25 and the Schwalbe Stelvio for $30, so the price differential does not seem that significant.
The Primo was a 1-1/8. it ran fine for 12 miles (my daily commute) today. It seems pretty thick, so it should last a while. I'll probably "splurge" on a pair of Schwalbs to replace them.

I've put ~4,500 miles on IRC Roadlites and ~1,000 miles on a Schwalbe Stelvio. No problems or issues w/ either tire. I have a 451-37 Primo Comet that I use as a backup and it feels so much slower whenever it's on the bike.
