I am trying to get away from a water rinse while trying to get a nice clean chain.
Here is what i do: remove the chain, drop it into a tupperware container with a couple ounces of citrus based solvent. Shake, but not stirred. Repeat with clean solvent.
Dry the chain using compressed air , dip in white lighting and hang to dry, then wipe until clean to touch.
Filter the solvent using a coffee filter back into containers marked 1,and 2 .
so a couple of questions:
Anyone found a better solvent for wax based lubes?
Dry lubes really seem to work well in dry condtions , what non-wax based lubes are recommended?
thanks
michael
