_ I have an 80's vintage Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo that I've revived as a rigid single speed just for
fun. Recently, I've noticed that the front rim is getting pretty worn and should probably be
replaced soon.
_ As I was poking around looking for cheap wheels, I noticed that for roughly the price of a new rim
and spokes, I could just buy a steel hybrid fork and use my cyclocross wheel on the front.
_ Other than than having to carry two spare tubes, I can't see any obvious drawbacks. It would make
an already silly looking bike sillier, but it might be fun. I'm thinking it might climb and descend
a bit better. The bike has pretty slack angles and was designed to use a straight fork, so toe
clearance should not be a problem.
Any reason I shouldn't drop $40 on a hybrid fork as an experiment?
