  1. Damnit I was looking at buying a nice shiny Pinarello FP2 and my eye caught the new 2011 Focus Cayo 2.0. The Cayo is a little cheaper than the FP2 and seems to be much better value for money, Ultegra/FSA kit instead of 105 etc, but a bit of my heart still say go Pinarello which is a little above my budget.

I currently have a Spesh Allez Sport on the cycle to work scheme (still got a few months to pay it off but I have done 3000 miles on it so far in just a few months including commuting and a couple of sportives), so hence my reason to upgrade to carbon and better equipment etc is that I need a bike capable of carrying my heavy body that far for a few years- not sure the Sora equipment on the Allez will last- I am already replacing brakes and gear equipment. So then, the 2011 Focus range comes out in December and it looks hot. But, is the Cayo (2.0) a Pinarello FP2 105 beater, and is carbon the way forward or just a fad?
