  1. I was at a local bike shop today that sells Trek. The salesperson I was dealing with was telling me that Trek is basically phasing out Klein and that there won't be any 2007 models this year. True?

  2. I think that would be f'd up if trek did that..I got a friend that works at a LBS that sells Klein I can ask him tomorrow

side note I do however love my Klein Reve..

I don't understand why Trek bought out Gary Fischer, Lemond, and Klein, and then just went nowhere with these brands. They're not discontinued, they're not sold to some faceless company, and they're not pushing them.

Anyway, Klein will have 2007 model bikes. They even have a carbon-fiber road frame that will be sold only in Japan... more mysteries... why CF and why Japan? People who want Kleins want big fat aluminum tubes with clean welds, internal cables, and fancy paint jobs... it's almost like Trek is trying to justify dropping the line by producing stuff that no one will buy, or even have the chance to buy. Klein has a nice niche and Trek is screwing it up.
