hay folks,
since i have a new url, www.coolbicycling.com and plenty of time on my
hands i have decided to take next week off and follow the tour de georgia.
i am goint to do live daily updates with photos, comments, and results. i
have already posted 8 pages of info on this years georgia tour and will be
expanding it as the race gets closer. i even have press passes so i will be
attending lances big interview on monday and will give ya'll the scoop from
my perspective. my site doesn't have any sponsors or desire to make any
money. this is pure fun and nothing else.

Michael, I really appreciate that since we won't be going this year
after all. My friend Matt Brinkley who we were going with lost his
life on Wolfpen Gap a couple of weeks ago. His buddy, Mark Goforth,
posted a lot of pictures and a moving tribute to Matt at

for some reason both the dudes in the first picture seem really familiar.
i know it should be hard to remember a couple of random faces out of the
crowd at six gap but its kinda freaky. from reading the story i feel like i
know the guy and his ideas on braking were very similar to mine. i
regularly hit over 60 mph coming off the back side of hogpen and have
wondered at times what the cost would be if i hit a piece of gravel or a
patch of sand in the apex of a turn at high speed.
if you ever need a riding partner down this way give me a shout and
we'll go spin through the mountains. i am a devout Christian and you don't
have to worry about riding with someone who will offend you. all my rides
begin with a prayer. i will link this page into my cyling section when
time permits as a reminder to others to be careful on the gaps. i know of
several folks that have payed the ultimate price coming down these hills. i
hope you enjoy my coverage this year.
