  1. I have been running in Supernova Controls for a few years now. They work
well for my wide toe base/narrow heel foot.

I called a local store looking for a pair because they were having a
sale, and the employee said they have no new ones in my size, but they
have a pair that is the model from 2 years ago. It made me wonder if the
shoes start to decompose in some way after a time.

I have read on here about people buying a number of shoes when they are
discontinued so I would think they would be okay.

Two years should be alright depending on how the store stored the shoes.
I still use a pair of shoes that I bought 3 years ago. No problems at all.
And I don't even store them nicely. So, I don't think they "decompose."

Maybe you could try and talk them into a better deal since
they are two years old ;-)
