  1. I want to improve my LT. Is there a benefit to riding twice a day?
For example, I have been doing a 40 mile in the morning and then a 20 mile in the evening.
I can burn for longer periods on the 20 but not sure if it's because of the mental aspect of the shorter distance or that i already have a ride in for the day.

Is there any benefit to 2 rides a day?
Would it be best to do one 60 mile?

haha now i feel like i'm completely off base doing 2 a day 😕

  2. It doesn't really hurt and it depends on how you do it to get the most benefit. Generally, you should do your shorter more intense ride in the morning and do your longer aerobic ride as ride number 2. I end up riding twice a day like this because I ride to work. it's about 25km each way to work, so I ride right to work, either light or hard depending on what kind of workout I want and then on the way home I ride at a steady pace, stop home, get some more gatorade and then head back out if I'm looking for more hours. Althought I will say I save my longer rides for the weekend.
