I am fixing up my dad's old Peugeot road bike (probaly a UO-8, don't know how to tell.) My dad swears that it used to be an 8 speed when he originally got it new in France. Is this right? I haven't been able to find any info on 8 speed peugeots. It is now a 10 speed and the rear set of gears is not the best so I am going to replace them. I'm thinking of getting an old PX-10 rear wheel and gear set but I just wanted to know if it is worth looking for the original 4 speed cassette. Thanks for your help.
