I am going the Skyline Drive from Front Royal VA. to Big Meadows, turn around after spending the
night and come back to Front Royal. My heart rate is such when I am in the lowest possible gear that
I can get on the bike. (34t granny and a 20t chainring). I don't get tired quickly, I just have a
high heart rate when climbing

A Piece of Cake for old farts like you... and me. And all my practice hills here in 'Flatland' are
RR overpasses.

I hope you are right. I have never had a problem with the heart rate that high, I was just wondering
what to expect with the HBP at over 130 for an extended period of timeI will let you know how I make out. I expect to do the ride towards the last of August.
