What I'm looking for is the real world price. FYI, I consider an LBS the real world. Internet dealers? Eh, not so much. For something like a gruppo, I'll only buy at the LBS. I don't want to patronize the grey market, or those dealers that take shortcuts or cheat a bit to get components at silly low prices, something which the LBS can't do.
It seems as if the real world price of SR is not too much more than Record 11 spd.

SR rear derailleur is $515, group I believe is $3200(I'm at home). Record rear derailleur I think is about $400.
Record gruppo(8 piece group) is $2600(from memory here). Campagnolo USA and ITL is trying hard to shut own grey market, backdoor deals BUT still some pretty cheap stuff on websites in Europe.
I have built a couple of bikes with SR where the group came from Europe and the gent saved about $1000. The problem is if something is in need of warranty and they check the teeny tag and see it's grey market-no warranty. Same if the tag is missing.
I think if you are trying to piece a 11s group together, Choprus cogset and chain. Probably crank too..maybe the whole group. Wee bit heavier w/o ceramics and titanium, less coffee shop points.
