I know it's been done to death, but what's the deal? Someonw I almost trust (manufacturer of my wheels) has told me that a 10sp shimno cassette will work "fine" with my 10sp campy group. I know it's not far out and find that believeable, but I also like it to be kinda quiet also.
So, anyone here actually do this and find it gives acceptable results? I guess all I've got to risk to find out is the cassette, and what's to gain is being able to use all my shimano wheels and not have to stuff around with "non-standard" conversion cassettes that no-one keeps in stock and cost much more han they should...

The spacing is different (campy 4.12mm vs shimano 3.95) but seems to work ok. For best results use the narrower shimano 10sp chain. I might borrow a 10sp shimano wheel and try it on my bike to see how it works.

The DA-shimano chains are also far cheaper than the campy ones, apparently
apparently so, but I have this lovely record chain all waiting to be used, and to get a DA chain means shelling out some more dough. And what with the required cycle-replacement it's been an expensive month :-(
