  1. I'm in the process of shopping for a good 10k race to run this spring. Main
criteria -- fast course, well organised race, competitive field.

So far, the "Sporting Life" 10k that David ran looks quite promising -- Dave
ran a fantastic time on the course, and the quality of the field for that race
was outstanding (5 in under 29:00, 11 in under 30:00, over 100 in under 6:00
    pace)

    Cheers,

It wasn't really a great time; the first 5 miles have a mellow but
very real downhill grade as it heads towards the lake that takes
a bit of time off. Plus there's only 2 turns! I really should have
broke 35:00 at that particular race or come very close but I ran
a very tough/hilly 15k race in driving rain a week earlier and was
    a bit beat up.

I ran 35:18 on a flat course six weeks later but I think it was a tad
short (50m - 70m, all in the last km it seemed). I beat a competitor
I had never beat before, so it was a good one for me.

    cheers,
