  2. While I have no absolute numbers, this relative observation may illuminate. When running C10
    shifters with Deore XT rd and cassette, the cable is routed outside the normal clamp area. this adds
    about 2mm to the lever. Conclusion: C10 pulls more cable than S9. That would make S10 a tolerancing
    nightmare. That may explain some of the astronomical cost of the Dura Ace. Tom
