Don, The article is about overdosing, and the topic is
discussed because overdosing increases adverse effects.

The article is not about statin adverse effects, it is about
overdosing causing adverse effects. However, it starts with
the example of Lipitor adverse effects. That example (my
husband and my family life) is followed by "Jay Cohen
believes he knows what went wrong in Michael Hope's life." -
overdose treatment with Lipitor.

The fact that there are many other pharmaceuticals that also
cause harm by overdose-level approved starting doses does
not detract from the acknowledgement that Lipitor caused the
life-altering destruction of my husband's health. That is a
given in the introduction of the article.

What is your point? No one claimed the focus of the article
was exclusively statin adverse effects, only that the statin
adverse effects on 10mg of Lipitor that destroyed my
husband's health, business, and lifestyle are a prime
example of overdose.

Let me remind you again that the LA Times article on
Dr. Cohen dealt with *overmedication*, not with the
side effects of statins per se; other drugs were also
discussed. I have seen parts of some of the other
articles, but don't know enough about them to
characterize them.
