Whats the point of having proper battery storage tips when most people cant even be bothered to follow basic guidelines for maintaining their e-bike batteries. Im constantly seeing riders with swollen batteries, or ones that are completely dead after just a few months of use, and its not like the information on how to properly care for them isnt out there. Do people not understand that storing their batteries at extreme temperatures, or letting them completely drain to 0% on a regular basis, is going to significantly reduce their lifespan.
And whats the deal with the lack of standardization when it comes to battery storage. Cant we get some kind of industry-wide guidelines for how to store e-bike batteries when theyre not in use. It seems like every manufacturer has their own set of recommendations, and even those can be vague or conflicting. How are people supposed to know what theyre doing when the people making the batteries cant even get it together.
Im not asking for much, just some basic tips on how to store my battery when Im not using it, and maybe some information on how to tell if my battery is actually dead, or just needs to be reconditioned. Is that too much to ask.
